Telekom Not a Passenger TV Spot -Werbung - feat. Rhian Teasdale

Telekom Deutschland urges viewers, in a new commercial starring Rhian Teasdale, not to listen to the voices of others, but instead to trust their own instincts, take the wheel of their own life, and refuse to remain merely a passenger within it.

As the commercial wryly observes, it seems everyone wants a seat in your car. Stranger still, each of them seems convinced that they, rather than you, should be the one behind the wheel. At a certain point, amid all these competing voices, it becomes genuinely difficult to discern who is actually in control.

Everyone, it seems, has an opinion to offer, about which path you should take, who you should become, what success ought to look like, or where you should live. All the while, the algorithm continues feeding you its advice, the comments never seem to stop, and amid all this noise, it gradually becomes harder and harder to hear what it is you actually want for yourself.

The song playing in the commercial is a cover of “My Favorite Game” by The Cardigans, released in 1998.

The song was recorded and reinterpreted exclusively for the ad by the British indie rock band Wet Leg.
