In a new commercial titled “Honoring a Legacy,” Indian Motorcycle unveils the Chief Vintage Sturgis, SD Edition, framing it as something considerably more meaningful than a simple tribute, positioning it instead as a genuine statement of origin, one that reaches back to the very roots of the brand itself.

The story the commercial tells traces back to what would eventually grow into the world’s most iconic motorcycle rally, an event whose humble beginnings unfolded in Sturgis, South Dakota, born from nothing more than a single rider, a single race, and a single Indian Motorcycle setting the whole tradition into motion.

Now, some 125 years removed from the company’s founding, Indian Motorcycle turns its attention back to that historic place and pivotal moment in time, honoring it through the introduction of the limited-edition Chief Vintage Sturgis, SD Edition,  a motorcycle built specifically to celebrate both the Indian Motorcycles themselves and the riders who together form the beating heart of the world’s largest motorcycle event.
