The Islands Are Waiting: Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Launches Into an Expansive Open World

The islands are waiting, and Hot Wheels Infinite Rush invites players to explore all four, building a collection of over 150 Hot Wheels vehicles as they embark on a sprawling new adventure.

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is an open-world arcade racing video game developed and published by Milestone. Released September 10, 2026, the title marks a notable departure from Milestone’s previous Hot Wheels Unleashed games, shifting away from linear, life-sized indoor tracks toward an expansive, free-roaming open world spread across four distinct thematic islands.

Players are free to explore each island at their own pace: Wheelswood, a bustling cityscape alive with motion; Tentacle Bay, a vibrant coastal setting; Gearville, a dusty canyon and desert environment; and Drifty Temples, an atmospheric landscape inspired by Japan.

Each map features richly destructible environments, where nearly everything aside from buildings can be smashed into satisfying debris, rewarding players who favor chaos as much as precision.

At launch, the game offers more than 150 collectible vehicles, organized into four specialized classes: Versatile, offering balanced performance; Speeder, built for lightning-fast speed; Drifter, prized for its agility; and Titan, defined by sheer, massive presence.

Vehicles can be fully upgraded within the garage and personalized through a remarkably deep Livery Editor, allowing players to craft a collection that feels genuinely their own.

Progression unfolds through a variety of activities, including daredevil stunt runs, time attacks, waypoint collections, and delivery challenges, each island building toward its own definitive showdown.

The ultimate goal on every island is to challenge and defeat the local “Rush Master” boss, claiming their unique title and signature car as a hard-earned reward.

Underscoring the launch trailer’s high-octane energy is its soundtrack, “Part Time Punks” by Simon Axis & Hypersonic Music, released September 24, 2025, by Hypersonic Music as part of the album BLENDER: Fun Energetic Rock Trailers & Promos, a fitting sonic companion for a game built entirely around momentum and adventure.
