“Dudley & the Invasion of the Space Slugs” Brings Interstellar Adventure to a Small-Town Pond

Dudley & the Invasion of the Space Slugs is a 2026 animated family adventure-comedy directed by Cherifa Bakhti, delivering a charming, cosmically-inflected tale that unfolds from the unlikely setting of a small-town pond.

At the story’s center is Dudley, voiced by Chris Nelson, a headstrong young frog longing to break free from the suffocating control of his father, Arthur, the mayor of Frog Town.

Determined to prove he’s capable of far more than anyone believes, Dudley sets his sights on earning the respect of the local streetwise gang, led by a sassy, sharp-tongued newt named Madge, voiced by Paloma Faith.

His opportunity arrives in spectacularly unexpected fashion, when a mysterious alien spacecraft crash-lands directly into the pond and becomes trapped in the mud.

The crash, however, proves to be anything but accidental. The small crew of aliens aboard, equipped with remarkably advanced miniaturizing technology, has arrived on a covert mission: to siphon away all of Earth’s water and sell it across the galaxy for extraordinary profit, setting the stage for Dudley’s most unexpected adventure yet, one that will demand far more courage and cunning than he ever imagined possessing.

The song playing in the Dudley & The Invasion of The Space Slugs trailer is We’re Gonna Celebrate by Guesthouse, from their album Huge, released on October 23, 2018, through Extreme Music.
