Apple promotes the official trailer for the three-part true-crime docuseries Twisted Yoga, which premiered on Apple TV+ on Friday, March 13, 2026.

The gripping series follows former yoga students from Romania who were drawn into the controversial spiritual movement Movement for the Spiritual Integration into the Absolute (MISA), led by the enigmatic figure Gregorian “Guru” Bivolaru. What begins as a search for wellness, personal growth, and spiritual meaning gradually transforms into a disturbing journey, as participants recount how their involvement with the group led them to fear they had become entangled in a dangerous cult.

Through personal testimonies and investigative storytelling, the docuseries explores their path from devotion to disillusionment, as former followers attempt to break free and pursue justice for alleged abuse, manipulation, and psychological control they say occurred under the influence of the self-styled guru.

The series also examines the wider controversy surrounding Bivolaru, the reclusive Romanian leader who faces serious accusations in France, including human trafficking, kidnapping, and rape allegations he has repeatedly denied.
