Progressive has released a new lighthearted commercial to showcase its 24/7 protection for homeowners and renters.

Titled “Always Watching,” the 30-second ad follows Emily, a new homeowner, who finds herself under the intense watch of Progressive spokeswoman Mara. Played by Kimia Behpoornia, Emily casually chats on the phone, explaining how Progressive allows her to bundle home, renters, and auto insurance for round-the-clock protection. As she says, “24/7 protection for all of my things,” she turns to see Mara peering through the window, staring creepily at her. Cue the eerie music, Mara keeps appearing unexpectedly inside the house, her unsettling presence reaching a point where Emily has to ask her to “tone down the creepiness.” Mara apologizes but then adds, in an unsettling tone, “I’d do anything for you, Emily.”

Progressive introduced Natalie Palamides as Mara in 2020, three years after casting Jim Cashman as Jamie. The brand has also brought on Paul Mabon (Alan), Christine Tawfik (Lucy), and Brian Stepanek (Bob) to expand its quirky insurance universe.

In addition to Mara, Progressive is well known for its popular ad campaigns featuring Dr. Rick, the Parenta-Life Coach, who helps homeowners avoid turning into their parents, and the Motaur, played by Terrence Terrell.
