Jeep is revving up excitement for the upcoming Jurassic World movie with a thrilling new commercial that spotlights its iconic Trail Rated badge, symbolizing a rigorous series of tests proving Jeep 4x4s’ off-road performance and durability.
Created by Industrial Light & Magic, the ad features a Jeep Wrangler in a striking Mojito green shade, put through a high-stakes safety test requiring a human driver. Set in a Jurassic Park-inspired wilderness, the so-called Jurassic Trail Rated Test sends the driver across treacherous terrain populated by prehistoric predators like Red Compsognathus and Velociraptors. At one heart-pounding moment, the driver must toss a fish to distract a massive dinosaur and avoid becoming its next meal. One scene at the testing hub shows a man saying “I don’t know if he’s gonna survive, but we’re getting great data.”
The spot closes with the tagline: “Jeep. Jurassic World Rebirth. Only in theaters.”
In addition to the TV commercial, the campaign includes social media content, dealership activations, and a prominent Times Square billboard. This marks the latest chapter in Jeep’s longstanding partnership with the Jurassic franchise, which has generated over $6 billion globally.
The upcoming film, starring Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali, centers on a high-risk extraction mission to a perilous island research facility.
Jurassic World: Rebirth will be released in theaters July 2.
