Allstate has launched a new commercial to highlight the benefits of its insurance.
In the 30-second ad, a voiceover says, “Some people just know to check Allstate first to save hundreds on car insurance, the same way you know to check if your gas tank isn’t empty before going through the drive-thru.”
The scene features a couple at a drive-thru, realizing too late that they forgot to refuel.
As the man steps out to push the car, the voiceover adds, “Checking first is smart,” encouraging viewers to “check Allstate first and save.”
This commercial is part of a broader campaign centered around the idea that “checking first is smart.” In a previous ad, a teenage girl is ready to introduce her boyfriend to her parents, die-hard North Carolina Tar Heels fans. However, he arrives at their front door wearing a Duke shirt, having failed to check first, which makes him turn around and leave, realizing the mistake he had made. Another spot shows a man who neglects to ensure his sunroof is closed before going through a car wash, with predictably soggy results.
