Netflix has launched a teaser trailer for the second season of Squid Game, and takes this opportunity to announce that the third and final season is coming in 2025.

“It’s been three years. Do you want to play again?” The Front Man is heard saying in the spot.

Squid Game: Season 2 is the upcoming continuation of the immensely popular South Korean television series Squid Game, which first premiered on Netflix in September 2021. Created by Hwang Dong-hyuk, the show became a global phenomenon for its gripping storyline and intense drama.

The returning characters are Seong Gi-hun (portrayed by Lee Jung-jae), the main protagonist from Season 1, who survives the deadly games and is determined to uncover the truth behind the organization running them, and The Front Man (played by Lee Byung-hun), the mysterious figure overseeing the games, whose background and motivations may be further explored.
