NIL standouts Shedeur and Shilo Sanders take center stage in a nationwide TV advertisement for Google, showcasing Google Shopping as an innovative product discovery experience.
Developed in collaboration with Team Whistle, a social-first sports and entertainment publisher, the commercial unfolds with Shilo questioning his brother Shedeur about always trying to one-up him. Shedeur humorously responds, emphasizing Shilo’s status as the supposed “number one son” but reminiscing about instances where his sibling outdid him, like achieving an A+ in school.
The plot thickens when Shedeur, inquiring about a coffee maker for their mom, proudly displays a purchase at $68.99. Seizing the opportunity, Shilo turns to Google Shopping for coffee maker deals and discovers the product at lower prices. Acquiring the same coffee maker for just $48.39, he revels in the glory of finding a better deal and shares his newfound “secret” with Shedeur, suggesting that he should embrace shopping with Google.
The commercial concludes with the onscreen declaration, “New ways to find great deals.” Google Shopping provides users with a streamlined approach to researching purchases, gathering information about various products, including features and prices, and connecting with sellers to facilitate their transactions.
The Sanders brothers, who are Coach Prime’s sons, are the latest college football stars to partner with Google, which launched similar campaigns for Google Shopping with Heisman frontrunner Bo Nix of Oregon and Sam Hartman of Notre Dame.
