Samsung has unveiled a new commercial highlighting the Transcript Assist feature on its Galaxy S24 series, which empowers users to record speech and generate transcriptions of what was said.

The 30-second spot depicts a scene by the pool where a businesswoman engages in continuous dialogue with her assistants, which is actually more of a monologue. As she discusses various topics, including dinner plans and other mundane details, one of her assistants, Chris, appears disengaged, opting to read a book instead. When questioned by the boss about grasping the discussed ideas, Chris promptly utilizes the Summary function of Transcript Assist to glean the tasks indirectly assigned to her, impressing her employer.

The commercial concludes with an onscreen message: “Summarize convos, just like that.”

The background music featured in the ad is “Tosca: Vissi d’arte” by Maria Callas, Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala di Milano & Victor de Sabata.

Transcribe Assist is accessible through the Voice Recorder app and includes speaker recognition, capturing the voice closest to the microphone.

Supported languages include Chinese Simplified, English (India, United Kingdom, United States), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Mexico, Spain, United States), Thai, and Vietnamese. Users must be logged in to their Samsung account to access the Summary feature, which may not be available for short recordings.
