Renault showcases its all-new Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric in a new advert, that carries the tagline “From horsepower to electric power”.
The spot follows a young woman as she drives a Renault Megane e-Tech through a city where everyone else is riding horses. The electric vehicle is shown traveling among hundreds of horses and horse riders – police officers are shown on horses, a group of models is shown on horses, as well, riding through the city streets and taking selfies, and even a bride can be seen riding a white horse and jumping over the Renault Megane 100% electric.
“from horsepower to electric power,” an onscreen line reads at the end of the 60-second ad, which also informs that the all-new Renault Megane E-Tech 100% electric has 220 horsepower, 160 kilowatts, up to 280 miles range, and Google built-in.
The soundtrack music is a tailored reorchestration done by the music production agency Start-Rec of the Pachanga Boys’ song “Power”.
The Renault Megane E-Tech features a compact body, crossover style, sculpted rear, and sporty silhouette, with 20” alloy wheels, full-LED signature lighting, and gold chrome accents that form an eye-catching design. Thanks to its widened structure and new openR extra-slim dashboard, the car ensures 209 mm legroom in the rear and over 33 L of onboard cabin storage. Other features include a wireless phone charger at the front, USB-C ports at the rear, a central storage compartment as standard and 440 L of boot capacity. In terms of technology, the Renault Megane E-Tech boasts an exclusive new Harman Kardon sound system, an open link system with Google built-in, which means you can access all your favorite applications, from Google Maps to Google Assistant and Google Play, and enjoy the best of Google without connecting your phone.
The new CMF-EV platform is fitted with a 60kWh ultra-slim battery and a compact 160kW motor, which makes the Megane E-Tech 100% electric one of the lightest vehicles in its category. It offers up to 280 miles of electric driving range WLTP.
