This Christmas season, Publix has launched two commercials, each showcasing different aspects of family moments. While one brings laughter with a toddler assisting the family dog inadvertently left outside, the other resonates with heartfelt emotions.

The poignant commercial commences with two little girls and their parents eagerly running to greet their grandfather at the door. “Mira qué grandes están estas muchachas!” exclaims the grandpa. The girls’ father translates, “Oh, he said how big you guys have gotten.”

The narrative then unfolds in the kitchen, where the entire family collaborates on meal preparation. The grandpa, in Spanish, invites the girls to help make empanadas and requests butter. A delightful moment ensues when one of the girls mistakenly grabs mustard before realizing that “mantequilla” means butter. Later, at the dinner table, one of the girls expresses her love for her grandpa. Despite her father’s attempt to translate, the grandpa stops him, responding directly, “Yo sé, yo sé … I love you too.”

The commercial concludes with a heartwarming message from Publix: “Estar juntos es el mejor regalo,” meaning “Being together is the best gift.”
