Jamie (played by actor Jim Cashman) star in the latest commercial for Progressive Insurance as a getaway driver.

The 40-second spot opens with tree bank robbers fleeing the scene, while money flies in all directions and sirens are heard in the background.

“There they are! Everybody get their banking done?” Jamie ask naively, and when one of the robbers seems anxious to leave, he conclude that “someone’s in a hurry”.

After a short stop at the STOP Sign, the driver shows no signs of wanting to leave quickly and and the burglars realize that they made a mistake. The driver is not a skilled wheelman but the family name on his mother’s side is Wheelman. Besides, he gets discounts for his safe driving with Snapshot from Progressive.

The commercial ends with the burglars who seem resigned themselves and Jamie saying ” Yeah, I like it smooth. The smoother the better. Just like to slow down, take it easy. No place to be.”
