GEICO highlights that Dead batteries are never a dead end with GEICO’s 24/7 help in its latest commercial.
Titled “Monster”, the 30-second advertisement opens with the voiceover informing that “GEICO covers dead batteries with their easy app and 24/7 help”. Meanwhile, a group of people carrying torches is seen chasing a monster at night. One of them shouts, “You’ve reached a dead end, monster!” one of them shouts at the monster, who – it turns out – is waiting, together with his girlfriend, for Roadside Service Assistance because their car battery is dead. The monster, played by Jason Liles, jokingly explains that dead batteries are the worst and asks the crowd not to worry because GEICO gives him even more coverage and 24/7 help. At this point, the townsperson, played by James Taku Leung, realizes the monster they got is not Frankestein’s monster. His girlfriend confirms, stating that he is Frankenstein’s cousin, Trevor. Advised to try the spooky castle up the road, the people turn around and leave, with Leung’s character wishing the folks a good evening.
As the commercial ends, the voiceover points out that, “Whatever you need, from coverage to service,” you get more with GEICO.
