GEICO Cavemanalyst Upsets Commercial Actor

GEICO has released a new March Madness-themed commercial featuring their iconic Caveman character.

The 30-second ad depicts the Caveman as the host of a show titled “Caveman’s Not-So-Easy Stats”, where he issues an Upset Alert, humorously noting that “100% of people bristle when brackets go bust”. “That got me thinking… shocking, GEICO, I know…,” he muses, posing the question “How upset are ‘upset teams’ when they’re upset in the tournament?”. He then humorously concedes, “Not as much as me having to admit that GEICO’s 97% satisfaction rating is actually pretty clutch”.

“Qualitately, results ranged from “super mega grumpy” to “ambivalent” to “can we go to Cabo now?” he also says toward the end of the segment, followed by the show’s logo and the on-screen message “Proud Partner of March Madness”.

GEICO recently renewed its partnership with the NCAA, becoming the official provider of home and auto insurance for the NCAA men’s and women’s March Madness basketball tournaments.

Dan Gavitt, NCAA senior vice president of basketball, expressed excitement about GEICO’s return to the NCAA Corporate Champion and Partner Program, praising their dedication to supporting NCAA championships and student-athletes while engaging creatively with passionate college sports fans.
