Volkswagen touts its all-electric ID.4 as “the way to electric mobility” in a new commercial, which also promotes the new season of The Mandalorian, now streaming on Disney+.
The spot features an employee on the production set of The Mandalorian, who was sent to bring the props back on the set, but forgets to do that because he gets into the ID.4 and his attention is distracted by its interior and tech features.
Asked by a superior where the props are, he answers that he is on his way and hits the road.
The commercial ends with the voiceover declaring that The Mandalorian Season 3 is streaming exclusively on Disney+ and that the Volkswagen ID.4 is the way to electric mobility.
The automaker has promoted its ID.4 in several other ads in the past. One of them aimed to point out that the all-electric ID.4 and football player Christian Pulisic were both created by a world of pressure, but “pressure makes diamonds,” as one VW employee says.
Another ad features an old lady drifting in the parking lot of a dealership behind the wheel of the all-new ID.4 GTX.
