Tesco has released a new advert in its “Food Love Stories” campaign. This time, it tells the story of a family coming together, over a spontaneous Tesco Fire Pit BBQ.
The spot opens with a father hugging his little daughter after bringing her back to her mom’s house and telling her he will see her next week. It soon becomes obvious that the girl’s parents are separated and she spends the weekends with her dad. At this point, she comes up with the idea of having a BBQ. The father says he can pop to Tesco and the mother agrees, so for they spend the rest of the day preparing a barbecue together, eating and recalling all kinds of moments from the past.
“Can we do this every day?” the girl asks her parents, while enjoying their ribs around the table, in the backyard. Her parents are left speechless and all they can do is look at one another. The voiceover says “At least that’s dinner sorted”.
The retailer encourage consumers to try its latest Exclusively at Tesco range, Taste Shack, which is perfect for fuss-free family feasts, picnics or rainy ready-meal days, as well as its oaky, smoky and lowkey Fire Pit range, which is perfectly pre-prepared for every occasion.
