In the newest State Farm commercial, Milwaukee Bucks teammates and identical twins Brook and Robin Lopez provide some lighthearted advice on securing the appropriate insurance for new drivers.
The amusing advertisement kicks off with parents observing their teenage son struggle to drive a manual transmission in the driveway, prompting his dad to exclaim, “Oh, brother!” as he witnesses the young driver’s difficulties.
At this moment, the Lopez brothers magically appear beside the father. When asked to specify which brother, the father casually points to “the older brother,” leading Robin to playfully remind Brook that he’s only a minute older. Brook responds with humor, stating, “Best minute of my life,” as a brief scuffle ensues over a basketball. The mom intervenes, explaining that their son needs car insurance, prompting the Lopez brothers to burst into singing the signature State Farm jingle, “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.” This musical performance summons Jake from State Farm, the brand’s spokesperson, who appears in the son’s vehicle wearing his iconic long-sleeved red polo.
In his usual attire, Jake informs the parents that their State Farm agent can assist them in selecting the right coverage.
Brook and Robin Lopez join thus the ranks of celebrities featured in State Farm commercials. The insurance company has recently launched a new ad campaign titled “The Right Kind of Magic,” refocusing attention on the insurance brand’s iconic jingle, that features appearances by Jimmy Fallon, rapper Ludacris and college basketball star Caitlin Clark.
