Santander UK has launched a TV-led ad campaign for its corporate and commercial banking arm, whose brand ambassador is actor Brian Cox.

“In business, they say it’s all about the people you know. Is that really true?” the Succession star asks in the opening of the ad. He then introduces a few characters, such as Alan, a man who needs someone to take him global, Javier, a man who speaks a foreign language, a blonde man described as “cannonball”, who is just the person a businessowner needs for her US expansion, Priya and Yuki San, two women of different backgrounds of whom you’d never think would do business together, but they will.

The actor concludes that maybe it’s not about the people you know, but about the people you dont’t know.

As the spot ends, the line “We connect you to the networks you need” appears on the screen.

Brian Cox joins thus the Bank of Antandec CEOs, Ant and Dec, who front the “Bank of Antandec” campaign, developed by ENGINE and first launched in 2019, with an advert that revealed that Ant and Dec’s dream has always been to launch their own bank, which is quite similar to Santander.
