Alicia Silverstone reprises her “Clueless” role in Rakuten’s Super Bowl 2023 commercial.

The spot features Silverstone as fashion icon Cher, who goes at a highschool, to participate at a debate. She tells them that she used to be pretty clueless about shopping and when she heard she could save by getting cash back with Rakuten she was sorry she didn’t find out about it sooner. The 1990s it girl explains, in the next scene, that you can get cash back on all the fashion, even your most capable outfits, at your favorite beauty stores, and on pretty much whatever.

Back in the classroom, Cher concludes her speech by declaring that you’d have to be butt crazy to shop without Rakuten, which makes the students cheer and even applaud. “Hello, do I even get a rebuttal? Elisa Donovan asks. “I’m sure it would be re-brutal,” Alicia’s character replies and starts playing with her chewing gum.

This year, the Super Bowl commercials will feature lots of celebrities, including Meghan Trainor, Aaron Paul, Jon Hamm, Brie Larson, Pete Davidson, Sylvester Stallone, Puff Diddy, Adam Driver, and more.
