Pedros Flame Grilled Chicken has released a new ad, which is an attack at some of its direct competitors, KFC and Nando’s.
Titled “Chicken Wars”, the spot is set at the head office of a company called Over Priced Chicken and shows a boardroom filled with executives and staff from other chicken outlets coming together to discuss the rapid growth of the newest competitor, Pedro’s, and devise a plan to bring it down.
GFC representatives walk into the chicken crisis-meeting holding buckets filled with fried and oily chicken that leaves behind a significant amount of oil. They soon start a fight with the other company’s representatives and the inspector, whose tag has the word “Inspector” scratched out and replaced by “Spy”, starts eating some chicken that he carries inside his case. It’s a menu from Pedro’s which he says it’s healthier than fried.
“Sorry but it’s just too good,” he says before being chased out the hostile meeting.
The funny satire is making rounds on social media and tweeps can’t help but pick up the shade being thrown. Some users said they can’t wait to see how Pedro’s targets in the ad, Nando’s and KFC, will clap back on this one.
