O2 Roam On Roman Kemp Advert

O2 has launched a new ad campaign, starring Roman Kemp, to highlight that O2 customers can roam on in the EU at no extra cost, up to 25GB.

The spot features the radio host and TV personality playing multiple roles on a “Kemp Air” plane. He is a flight-attendant who delivers an important message for the non-O2 customers, a traveller and a pilot.

As a crew member, he shares with the non-O2 customers 4 top tips on how to avoid extra charging costs while traveling abroad. “We’d like to remind non-O2 customers that they could be hit with data charges on their holidays to Europe this summer,” he says and lists, then, the four things to remember to avoid racking up a massive phone bill while on holidays. He thus advises people to make sure they’ve got their data roaming switched off, check their roaming package, ideally before they go, and add a spending cap to their tariff to avoid build turbulence for when they get home, download the content they need before they go, and check where they’re going before leaving the comfort of their accommodation as they might struggle using maps without any data.

At the end of the advert, the pilot Kemp points out that you don’t need to worry about any of the tips today if you are an O2 customer, mentioning that, unlike other major networks, O2 don’t charge you extra for easy roaming, up to 25 gigabytes.
