McDonald's Jennifer Advert

McDonald’s UK highlights that its burgers are made with 100% British and Irish beef, cooked with just a pint of salt and pepper, in its latest advert.

The spot features three friends ready to enjoy their lunch together. They’re having McDonald’s burgers, but one of them, Jennifer, who seems stuck in the ’80s, is not delighted at all. “McDonald’s? Whatever!” she says. Her friends take the opportunity to tell Jennifer that all McDonald’s burgers have been made with 100% British and Irish beef for over 20 years, cooked with just a pint of salt and pepper, which makes Jennifer become just a little more impressed.

“We’re constantly making little changes to the way we source our food. We’ve kept up with the times, unlike Jennifer,” the voiceover says at the end of the ad, which also shows Jennifer happy that her love interest paged her.

“Change a little, change a lot,” an onscreen line reads at the end of the advertisement.

The “Change a little, Change a lot” campaign, created by Leo Burnett, debuted in October 2021 and delivers multiple messages to bring to life the fast-food chain’s actions and commitments in its “Plan for Change”, which is aiming at making the brand net zero by 2040.
