“When you use reward points to get something for free in the McDonald’s app and treat a friend with it, they don’t have to know it was free. That can be our secret,” the voiceover says in the 15-second spot, which features a young man putting a milkshake on the desk where his love interest sits at, in the library.

A final onscreen line informs that you can earn free food with the app.

With the McDonald’s app, consumers can enjoy 3x points on their first mobile order. Just activate bonus, then order ahead in the app to unlock points. They also earn MyMcDonald’s Rewards points on every McDelivery order only in the McD’s app to redeem for free food.

Now, those who download the McDonald’s app and join MyMcDonald’s Rewards, get a free large Fries with $1 minimum purchase. With the app, they will also get access to exclusive deals and will be able to order ahead and pass the line with Mobile Order & Pay.
