LEGO promotes its LEGO Technic sets, which provide an advanced and complex building experience based on real-life vehicles big and small like sports cars, motorcycles, and construction vehicles that are packed full of authentic features like functioning gearboxes, wheels, and axles, in a new commercial.
The spot features Nina, a young girl described as “a next-level builder” who asks herself “Can I make it better?” referring to a LEGO Technic vehicle. She builds small, medium, and even some big things and now she’s ready to build smarter, stronger, and even faster. More than ever before, she feels the need to build like never before so she takes her greatest masterpiece then smashes it and dares to see things not as they are, but as how they could be, the voiceover says. She finds the breaking point, then fixes it, and learns how things work so she can build it better.
“You’re a next-level builder and there’s no limit to what you can do,” the voiceover adds at the end of the commercial, which sees Nina, accompanied by her dad, showcasing a LEGO vehicle she created to a team of NASA professionals.
As a female astronaut is shown stepping on Mars, alongside a planetary rover, the narrator goes on by declaring that every time you reach your next level, you always ask “What’s next?”, and urges you to “Build your way to the next level with LEGO Technic”.
