Swedish fintech company Klarna has enlisted Paris Hilton and style influencer Bretman Rock to star in its latest ad campaign, which encourages shoppers to stretch their payments with Klarna.
One of the spots, titled “Stretch your payments”, opens with Hilton, clad in a deep green velour tracksuit, buying a pink ice cream from Rock. When the latter shows her a very long dog walking down the sidewalk, wearing a necklace featuring the text “Stretch your payments with Klarna”, Paris exclaims “That’s smooth!” and starts strutting, her ice cream in hand. “That’s Smoooth,” is Hilton’s newest catchphrase and was used in the ad to prove that “even the most experienced shoppers are impressed by Klarna’s elevated shopping products”.
“Pay now, later or over time” an onscreen line reads at the end of the commercial.
In another ad, she chats on a corded phone with Bretman, who goes wireless.

Her ability to stay ahead of trends, her shopping prowess and the fact that our customer has grown up with her, made Paris the perfect person to partner with for this campaign,” says CMO David Sandström.
The global campaign, developed in collaboration with Hilton’s next-gen media company, 11:11 Media, and directed by Ukranian Grammy Award nominee Tanu Muino, includes social media, digital, broadcast, and OOH and also draws attention to Klarna’s other innovative features that make the shopping experience smoother, such as try before you buy, buyer’s protection, and package tracking.
