Jersey Mike’s Subs has partnered with Illumination on the release of its upcoming action-packed new original comedy “Migration”, arriving in theaters on December 22. The legendary Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Danny DeVito, who’s been a familiar face in recent Jersey Mike’s commercials, stars in the film as the curmudgeonly, sub-loving, adventure-averse Uncle Dan of the Mallard family.

Titled “Bread Worth Snatching,” the humorous 30-second spot follows Uncle Dan, who is determined to get his wings on a Jersey Mike’s sub sandwich and goes to extreme lenghts to do that. In a surprise twist, Uncle Dan interacts with real-life Danny DeVito at the end of the ad.

“Jersey Mike’s and Migration is a perfect combo especially since our beloved spokesperson, Danny DeVito, voices one of the lead characters, Uncle Dan,” said Rich Hope, CMO, Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc., inviting Jersey Mike’s customers to bring the whole family in for dinner before the movie.

As part of its first marketing campaign around the release of the major film, Jersey Mike’s will be rewarding MyMike’s members who place an order on the Jersey Mike’s app between November 20 and December 31 with a promotional code for $5 off Migration movie ticket purchases through Fandango.
