Desmond Howard and GEICO’s Gecko co-star in a new commercial for the insurance company, reminding people how easy it is to insure everything you want with GEICO.

Titled “Collectibles”, the spot features Howard visiting Gecko’s home and seeing his college football collection. “Geico makes it easy to insure. My car and RV, too,” the Gecko tells his guest, who exclaims this is “impressive stuff”. The latter is surprised to see gloves from his famour catch, an item from when the band ran on the field in 1982, and a bobblehead of himself. He also sees a large head of Lee Corso that, once touched, says Corso’s famous catchphrase, “Not so fast, my friend!”. Covering its ears, the Gecko explains that it will turn off eventually.

“For all your insurance needs, from home to car to RV, it’s easy to GEICO,” the voiceover says at the end of the commercial.

A previous commercial featured Desmond entertaining a crowd as GEICO’s Gecko at a concert, where he showed up as a special guest. The company’s real mascot is trying to remind him of what he should tell the audience, but it soon turns out Desmond forgot the talking points so he only danced, impressing everyone with his moves.
