E*TRADE has released a new commercial featuring the E*TRADE baby to promote its services.

The spot features a baby’s wedding, where the best man, the E*TRADE baby, encourages the groom – who says he thinks he’s ready for this – by telling him that “with E*TRADE you’re ready for anything: marriage, kids, college.” Once the pastor pronounces the newly-weds husband and wife, the E*TRADE baby exclaims “Finally, we can eat!” and recalls funny memories in his speech for the couple. At the table, he is surprised to hear a young man that he owns a house in the metaverse, but lives with his parents.

At the end of the commercial, which is scored by “Shout, Pts. 1&2” by The Isley Brothers, the baby groom makes a toast to “getting financially ready for anything”. His best man raises his glass of milk to “being single and ready to mingle” and asks “Who’s ready to cha-cha?” while looking at the fireworks with the married couple.

In a previous commercial, the E*TRADE baby was shown living off the grid, near a remote cottage in the mountains. When a couple of corporate employees, dressed in suits, pay him a visit to let him know the world needs him back, he says he’s retired, but – hearing that people have their money just sitting around, doing nothing and that they are taking financial advice from memes – he decides to join the two in the city by helicopter.
