Currys has launched a new ad campaign, called “Beyond Techspectations” and created by AMV BBDO, which shows how Currys delivers the best expertise.
One of the spots, promoting the HP Pavilion x360, features a woman saying she really needs a new laptop for when she goes on field trips. At this point, a Currys representative, disguised in a cow that was grazing nearby, takes off the costume and urges her to try the HP Pavilion x360, which he hands over to her. He also tells her that she can get projects done easily with touchscreen and Windows 11 and also mentions he has a sheep costume, too.
The advert also informs that the HP Pavilion x360 is available from £24.95 a month interest-free over 24 months and the cash price is from £599.
The campaign, which runs across TV, online and social media, also includes other two spots showing how Curry’s team of experts goes above and beyond to provide the perfect laptops and the perfect tech advice when it is needed, even if that means appearing in the most unlikely places, such as a security luggage tray at the airport and a vat of baked beans. The retailer has also partnered with TikTok influencers to create bespoke content for the platform.
“Whether it’s in our stores, or helping with set up in people’s homes, going above and beyond to help customers with their tech is at the heart of what we do at Currys. With ‘Beyond Techspectations’ we’re taking this a step further showing our colleagues going to extreme lengths and popping up in the most unexpected, often hilarious situations to offer tech advice,” Aisling Lancaster, head of brand and advertising at Currys said in a press statement.
