Uber has launched a new ad campaign, titled “Get Your Ride Right” and aimed at driving greater awareness and consideration of the portfolio of Uber products including UberXL, Uber Comfort, Uber Green, and Uber Black.
One of the spots promotes Uber Comfort, a new ride option offered to riders looking for extra comfort and enhanced on-trip experience, and shows a man who, after attending a PTA meeting, finds himself stuck in his child’s school desk chair. He opts for Uber Comfort for his ride back home, which ensures extra legroom to really stretch out.
The end of the commercial sees the man relaxing in the back seat of the car that stopped in front of the school to pick him up.
Serving as soundtrack is the 1983 single “Break My Stride” by Matthew Wilder, from his “I Don’t Speak the Language” album. The song is available for purchase on Amazon for $1.29.
Uber Comfort connects riders with newer, spacious cars. To be eligible to receive trip requests with Uber Comfort, drivers need to meet some criteria. They must have completed at least 100 trips, maintain a minimum rating of 4.85, and drive an eligible model vehicle. Riders will obviously have to pay a little extra to be matched with those top-rated driver-partners who have newer, mid-sized cars.
