Peloton highlights how motivation transcends beyond the workout in its Christmas 2022 campaign, titled “The Peloton Effect” and developed in partnership with Mother LA.
The TV spot features a woman and her husband who are reminded, while they are working out on their Peloton Bike+ and Tread, that they have family coming over for a holiday dinner. The two start racing against the clock to complete their holiday to-do list, which includes lots of tasks, from decorating the house, setting up the Christmas tree, wrapping gifts, preparing the turkey, side dishes, dessert, setting the table, and more.
However, they are able to complete all these activities also thanks to the motivation of Peloton Instructors Hannah Frankson and Jon Hosking, who are shown in miniature versions, encouraging them throughout the rest of the day.
The commercial, set to the rhythms of “Man’s Not Hot” by Big Shaq, ends with the voiceover saying the tagline “Fitness that stays with you”.
The campaign also runs in the US and Canada across various channels including television, digital and social. The spot airing in these markets features Peloton Instructors Robin Arzón and Alex Toussaint. Hannah Frankson and Jon Hosking are shown in the ad airing in the UK and Australia.
“We wanted to capture the unique effect that our Instructors’ words have on our Members, both in and out of the class experience,” said Peloton’s SVP of Global Creative Bryant Brennan, adding that the brand’s 2022 holiday campaign “brings to life how the kind of motivation you find at Peloton is there for you, wherever and whenever you need it.”
