“Would you rather have a personal loan with a fixed rate and no fees, or coffee that tastes like it was brewed by a bank?” Marcus by Goldman Sachs, asks in its ad starring Rosamund Pike.
“Sure, banks might offer your free coffee, but Marcus by Goldman Sachs offers personal loans with no fees, ever,” the actress says in the opening of the 30-second ad, raising then the question: “What’s more important: a smart way to borrow that could help you consolidate debt or coffee that tastes like it was brewed by a bank?”.
The commercial, created by 72andSunny New York and part of a campaign that highlights key offerings from the banking platform, ends with Pike saying the tagline “You can money”.
The company says that with a personal loan from Marcus by Goldman Sachs, you can pay down higher-interest debt or help finance a home improvement, a wedding, vacation, and more. Consumers must answer a few questions about themselves and they will be shown a series of customized loan options, from $3,500 to $40,000, in minutes. They can enjoy no sign-up fees, no late fees, and no prepayment fees.
Marcus by Goldman Sachs, an online platform offering personal loans and savings accounts to retail clients, was launched by Goldman Sachs in 2016.
