Hyundai TUCSON Chewy the Dog Commercial

Hyundai has released a new commercial, showing how the new TUCSON brings family, friends, and furry surprises together for the long haul.

Titled “Chewy”, the spot tells the story of a dad and his two children who find, one day, a dog in the streets, and decide to take it home.

Initially, the father is reluctant to the idea of having a pet. Still, as time passes by and they go on all kinds of trips together, including Chewy (the dog), he and the newest member of their family form a bond that is so strong they wear matching T-shirts. Moreover, Chewy, the dog, gets to stay in the passenger’s seat, near the driver, to the kids’ surprise.

“When it comes to lasting relationships, we’re thinking of every mile,” the voiceover says at the end of the commercial, introducing the new Hyundai TUCSON and adding the tagline “It’s your journey”.

The 2022 Hyundai Tucson compact SUV, starting at $26,245, features HTRAC All Wheel Drive, a daring exterior design, and a well-equipped cabin. It had a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, but both a hybrid and a plug-in hybrid are offered. According to the EPA, the plug-in hybrid model sports a 13.8-kWh battery pack that guarantees up to 33 miles of electric-only driving. A 7.2-kW onboard charger allows the battery to be fully recharged in about two hours when connected to a level 2 charging station.

The cabin boasts a digital gauge display, a push-button shifter, a touch-sensitive control panel for the climate-control system and infotainment, and a standard 8.8-inch touchscreen integrated into the dashboard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of warranty, its Limited warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles, the Powertrain warranty covers 10 years or 100,000 miles, and the Complimentary maintenance is covered for three years or 36,000 miles.
