“When caddies decide what’s trending in golf, it can cause unexpected demand for your small business. Luckily, FedEx can help.” This is the idea behind the latest FedEx commercials.
The spot features several people attending the International Caddie Convention, where the host asks those in favor of henceforth recommending the lob edge over the pitching edge to say aye. The caddies shout all together “Aye” and the host exclaims “Great!”.
The ad concludes with the manager of Louie’s Lob Shop, a shop selling golf items, shipping a parcel with FedEx and telling the FedEx delivery person that they’re going to need a bigger truck.
“Golf trends got you trending? FedEx can help you be ready” onscreen lines read at the end of the commercial. Eventually, the tagline “Where now meets next” also appears on the screen.
In another ad, the company says FedEx can help your small business handle demand during golf season, and might even have a few tips for you, too.
From August 2 through August 8, many of the world’s top golf professionals descended on Memphis for the World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and got together again with St. Jude patients, virtually and in person, to continue a decades-long tradition that began in 1970. St. Jude patient artwork was featured throughout the tournament, adorning custom FootJoy shoes, PING golf bags and TaylorMade putter covers.
