The spot features John, an Eargo user having a video call with an Eargo representative who confirms that she can help guide him through setting up his Eargo hearing aids, answer all his questions, and be there for him in the future just a call away, answering all of life’s little mysteries.
The commercial ends with the tagline “Hearing made simple”.
Eargo managed to create controversy among its audience with a spot released in 2020, which marked the hearing aid brand’s first national brand campaign. The ad featured a young couple living an awkward moment during a visit at her parents’ house due to the fact that her dad had Eargo and was able to hear everything they said. And what they said implied condoms. The commercial has been described as “offensive” and inappropriate for general TV audiences for daytime.
