Coors Light has enlisted Patrick Mahomes to be in a promo for the Coors Light.
“This summer, we tapped star quarterback Patrick Mahomes to be in a promo for Coors Light. Turned out we overlooked the fact that he can’t actually promote Coors Light,” the voiceover says in the opening of the 60-second ad, which sees Mahomes realizing he has a flashlight that he needs to promote. The narrator confirms that it’s a flashlight and introduces the new device, which comes in a 12 or 16 fluid ounces. “Nothing beats the sturdy feeling of the Coors Light in your hand,” says the voiceover, who also mentions that the Coors Light is “100% flashlight, 0% adult beverage, perfect for camping trips or those warm summer nights spent with great friends”.
Viewers are also informed that the “Coors Light is made with high quality steel so it feels as cold as the rocky mountains”.
At the end of the commercial, Mahomes concludes that it’s a quality flashlight and the voiceover urges consumers to sit back, chill, and crack open a Coors Light. People can get one at thecoorslight.com and all proceeds go to the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation.
Eventually, the tagline “The Official Beer of Everything Unofficial” flashes across the screen.
