Citi is committed to investing in solutions to empower 10 million women globally by 2025 and has launched a new ad to promote its gender equity measures.
“Women have to overcome more obstacles to reach the top. It’s made them fiercely determined and more innovative. Just because they can navigate the obstacles, doesn’t mean they should have to. Citi is committed to investing in opportunities for 10 million women globally by 2025,” the voiceover says in the 13-second ad, titled “Escalator,” which features a woman going up and dancing on the escalators that are for going down to the subway.
The commercial ends with the onscreen lines “For the love of leveling the playing field. For the love of progress.”
Citi has also highlighted, in previous commercials, its commitment to get involved in various areas of interest, including education and employment, financial capability and inclusion, revitalizing housing and neighborhoods, and more.
As part of its “Stare at Greatness” campaign, Citi has partnered with four artists with disabilities across the globe to create murals of Team Citi Para athletes ahead of the Tokyo Games in an attempt to change the perception of individuals with disabilities. The Citi Foundation made a three-year, $50 million commitment to boost the career readiness of 100,000 low-income youth in 10 cities across the United States.
