The General has released a hilarious new commercial to promote its services and highlight that the insurance company has been saving people money for nearly 60 years.

The spot features Shaquille O’Neal, who is a brand ambassador for the company, sitting at a restaurant table with Michael Buffer and several other persons. Hearing the ring announcer, known for his trademarked catchphrase “Let’s get ready to rumble,” as he talks as if he were in the ring, announcing a match, O’Neal turns to the camera and says “Turn out Michael Buffer speaks like that all the time. And it turns out The General is a quality insurance company that’s been saving people money for nearly 60 years.

The commercial ends with O’Neal adding the tagline “For a great low rate and nearly 60 years of quality coverage, make the right call and go with The General”.

O’Neal has starred in numerous ads for The General in the past years. In one of them, he was left in the woods by some friends for having recommended The General and in another ended up burried in concrete for the same reason.

The insurance company has also enlisted other celebrities for its ad campaigns, including Craig Robinson.

The NFL legend is known for starring in commercials for several other companies, including Gold Bond, Buick, AriZona Cream Soda, and Icy Hot.
