Pringles promotes its Pringles Scorchin’ in a hilarious new commercial.
The spot features a teenage boy who’s sitting at the table with his girlfriend’s father, eating Pringles Scorchin’ Cheddar. At some point, he tells Mr. Clark, the girl’s dad, that his daughter is a very good kisser, which makes the man give him a certain look.
“When you crave the uncomfortable, try spicy Pringles Scorchin’,” the voiceover says at the end of the ad.
The new line of Pringles Scorchin’, launched in November 2020, includes three flavor options – Chili & Lime (featuring spice, zest, and loads of heat), Cheddar (featuring creamy cheddar and peppery heat), and BBQ (featuring tongue-tingling spice added to the brand’s classic BBQ crisp). Cans of each new flavor cost $1.99 each.
“We’ve launched spicy flavors in the past, but Pringles Scorchin’ is our first dedicated collection. As we created this collection, we knew spice was important, but we also wanted to preserve the insanely accurate flavors our fans have come to expect from our products,” Gareth Maguire, Senior director of marketing for Pringles, said in a press release. “I’m proud to say, we have succeeded on both fronts to offer the perfect balance of bold flavor and spicy heat that builds over time,” he added.
