Mucinex promotes its Mucinex DM, which relieves wet and dry coughs for 12 hours, with two medicines in one pill, in a new commercial, featuring Mr. Mucus.

The spot features the brand’s mascot entering a library and asking Liz out loud to cough if she’s in there. She answers in a whisper that she used Mucinex DM for her funny cough. Asked about Rob’s dry cough, her partner intervenes, saying that Mucinex DM works on his cough, too, and lasts 12 hours. “12 hours? Who studies that long?” Mr. Mucus asks and, at this point, he is dragged away from the library.
