GEICO promotes its Bundling options in a new commercial, highlighting that GEICO makes it easy to bundle your home and auto insurance.
The spot features a dad who says he hired a MLB at-home vendor to get his daughter to eat her veggies. “GEICO made it so easy to bundle my home and auto insurance that I thought ‘How can I make it easy to get my daughter to eat her veggies?'” the man says, revealing that he hired the at-home vendor. However, it turns out that, despite the vendor’s enthusiasm as he tried to give the girl some hot broccoli, it didn’t work.
“It’s easy to bundle and save with GEICO,” the voiceover declares at the end of the commercial, which also celebrates the insurance company’s status as Official Auto Insurance Partner of Major League Baseball.
This is not the first commercial in which someone hires a professional at home for a specific task. In another ad, a woman hires an MLB third base coach to help her husband remember where he’s left things around the house.
GEICO is now replacing the Allstate-owned digital insurance brand Esurance, which was Major League Baseball’s exclusive auto insurance partner since 2015 until 2018. MLB’s insurance category also includes The Hartford as partner with rights in the business insurance, homeowners insurance and employee benefits sectors. GEICO’s sponsorship portfolio also includes deals with ACC and Ty Dillon’s No. 13 Germain Racing Chevy on NASCAR’s top circuit, the NHL, and more than 60 MLB, MLS, NBA, NHL and NFL team deals.
