Expedia highlights that it matters who you travel with in its latest commercial.
The spot features a lone traveler played by Amber Stonebraker, who experiences all kinds of bad situations on her trips until she discovers Expedia, personified by Rashida Jones. The latter proves to be a great companion for the young woman who gets to enjoy now a nicer place to stay, help while visiting the city, and more. She magically saves the day for the protagonist by transforming her flight and hotel snafus into a pleasant experience to remember.
“Like a great companion, Expedia has your back throughout your journey. It matters who you travel with,” the voiceover says at the end of the 60-second ad.
Serving as soundtrack by an original song set to Eric Carmen’s 1975 single “All By Myself”, sung in the ad is “All By Yourself”.
The campaign debuted during this year’s Oscars’ broadcast and runs across all media.
The Seattle-based travel agency has also created a fresh new website, new product features, and a big-budget marketing campaign.
In the UK, the ad stars English actor Naomie Harris.
