Cricket Wireless promotes its Refer A Friend program in a new commercial, highlighting that “Anyone Can Be A Friend”.

The 2-minute film features a lama called Capybara, introduced as “the world’s friendliest animal,” playing the guitar and singing a song about this program, saying that when you refer a friend to Cricket you both get $25 in account credit, up to 250 credits a year, and that anyone can be a friend, including “a ninja guy who cannot fly, the IT guy who loves pad thai, taxi driver, deep sea diver, weird coworker from New Yorker-er, a frat brother, toga lover, a nice mobster, a sports all-star in a race car, a punk rocker and sleep walker, cute guy on bus, your barista, a magician, guy with chainsaw.

To join the Refer a Friend program, you can begin referring friends by sending your personal referral link via email, text message or social media. After your friend clicks the referral link, he or she will receive a referral code to use after activating service with Cricket. You can check their progress after the code is redeemed. You get $25, they get $25, and after 60 days of active service, you both earn. You can manage your referrals and Cricket account online or on the go by using the My Account Online & myCricket App.
