Cadbury promotes its “Cadbury Worldwide Hide” virtual Easter egg hiding experience, which allows people in the UK and Ireland to hide an Easter egg anywhere in the world for someone they love, in a new advert, created by VCCP.
“Wouldn’t it be lovely if you could hide an Easter egg anywhere in the world for someone you love?” the voiceover asks in the opening of the 30-second spot, which features a huge Cadbury chocolate egg hidden in various places across the world. The voiceover says that it could be “that place you both went every year or where you both have always dreamt of going back to” and urges viewers to hide an Easter egg for a loved one and search Cadbury Worldwide Hide.
The advert ends with the tagline “There’s a glass & a half in everyone” flashing across the screen.
Those willing to engage in this hiding experience have to think of a hiding spot that means something to them and the person they want to surprise and then hide the egg on the map. The second step consists in writing a clue for the dear one to help them find their egg and send it their way so that they can start searching for their egg on the map.
Consumers can also help end the need for food banks in the UK by hiding an Egg. This Easter, Cadbury have partnered with the Trussell Trust and donated Easter eggs to local food banks across the UK, to help ensure everyone can celebrate Easter this year.
