Allbirds has released a new commercial to introduce the Trail Runner SWT, the brand’s first-ever trail shoe.
The commercial follows a group of three runners, including LA-based trail runner Jenna Crawford, as they go on an unpaved weekend hike in the Sequoia National Park and run on different types of terrain, from forest roads to a bridge.
“Tread Lighter. Go further” onscreen lines read at the end of the video, which sees Allbirds enlisted pro runner Jorge Maravilla and running coach Iman Smith, as well as many other runners test the Trail Runner SWT by logging more than 2,000 miles on trail runs and hikes.
The Trail Runner SWT are made from natural fibers (a Merino wool recycled poly ripstop material, which offers durability and thermoregulating properties) and feature an eco-friendly, extra-cushioning SweetFoam midsole and a eucalyptus tree fiber-knit interior created for all-day breathable wear.
The sneaker, available for both men and women in three shades – iterations of off-white and black with charcoal grey accents, and a limited edition shade called Diablo, is priced at $138.
