Subaru promotes its 2022 Outback Wilderness in a new commercial.
The spot features two adventure-seeking young men who are determined to drive higher and higher up an epic mountain. Each jaw-dropping view, which makes them feel like they are in a screensaver, inspires them to keep discovering what’s over the next crest. Their rugged new Subaru Outback Wilderness easily handles the steep mountain landscape and transports the two friends even higher than their nerves can handle. realizing that they are on the edge of precipice, they immediately decide to go lower.
The commercial ends with the voiceover saying “adventure has a new look” and urging viewers to discover more in the all-new Subaru Outback Wilderness. The automaker’s tagline, “Love. it’s what makes Subaru Subaru”.
In addition to its legendary standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Outback Wilderness is loaded with off-road-ready upgrades like higher ground clearance, a turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine, new 17-inch matte-black alloy off-road wheels and all-terrain Yokohama GEOLANDAR tires. The cabin is protected with durable StarTex water-repellent upholstery featuring a textured honeycomb design. In back, the rear seats fold down to give flexibility to accommodate even more cargo and feature protective seat-back material to stand up to wear and tear from passengers, pets, and gear.
The vehicle comes in the standard Outback paint colors except for Abyss Blue and Crimson Red Pearl, paired with a black interior with a black headliner. The Blue Geyser paint shown on the debut vehicle is exclusive to the Wilderness model.
Prices for the 2022 Subaru Outback Wilderness start at $38,120, some $500 less than the more expensive non-turbo Outback Touring and $1,850 more than the Outback Onyx XT, the “base” model of the turbo lineup.
