Jennifer Lopez and Yoplait Yogurt have teamed up to help local Feeding America member food Banks.
Yogurt has released a spot featuring the artist, in which she says that “Strong and healthy bodies let us move all day and all kids need that. That’s why Yoplait Lids to Feed America program is helping provide food to local Feeding America member food Banks to help kids go strong”.
At the end of the commercial, viewers are encouraged to buy participating Yoplait products, scan or enter their receipt and Yoplait will take care of the rest by making donations.
The Lids to Feed America Promotion allows consumers to join General Mills in donating up to $600,000 to Feeding America. All they need to do is buy select Yoplait Cup Yogurts featuring unique yellow promotional lids (available in January-February 2021) and submit their qualifying purchase on YoplaitLids.com. Subsequently, General Mills will donate $0.10 to Feeding America for each eligible Yoplait purchase submitted.
Earlier this year, in September, the brand and Jennifer Lopez invited families across the country to participate to a fundraising challenge that was live on Instagram Reels. The musician/actress hosted the event together with her kids, Emme and Max, and encouraged parents and kids of all ages to show off their best moves. Yoplait pledged to donate $1 to Feeding America for every family posting a video using the hashtag #YoplaitimeDonation and Lopez’s song “Pa Ti” by October 30, 2020, up to a maximum of $300,000.
