Virgin Media TV Advert - Stay Home

Virgin Media urges people to stay home, stay safe and stay connected in its latest advert, which aims to “champion all the ingenious, resilient, and resourceful ways we’re building connections with the people we love”.

The spot features a montage of videos that have been shared on social media in the past few weeks (some of which went viral) illustrating the many ways we can stay safe and connected, while practicing self-isolation and social distancing, through the internet – and the power of fiber and mobile connections. Dozens of people are shown relying on technology to study, work, exercise, get together, and celebrate special occasions. Funny, feel-good and light-hearted moments are all captured in the film, which is scored by Ben Howard’s “Keep Your Head Up”.

The company has also come up with a platform that includes handy show recommendations, little WiFi wins, and more, to help make more time at home feel a bit easier. Virgin Media has also taken a series of safety measures to keep its employees and customers safe, as well as other types of measures. For instance, from 23rd March until 21st April, they’re given over 2.7 million Pay Monthly customers unlimited minutes to landlines and other mobile numbers, plus a 10GB data boost, at no extra cost, for a month. The company is also giving millions of its TV customers a host of extra kids’ channels, Sky and other lifestyle and documentary channels to enjoy together. Among them are Discovery, Fox, Gold, Sky One, Sky Comedy, Sky Witness, Alibi, Nat Geo, and Comedy Central Extra. More than a million customers who currently pay for speeds under 100Mbps get from Virgin a free boost from superfast broadband to ultra fast M100 Fibre Broadband.
